First WIPs Be Gone for 2016

And now for some diamonds - this has become a WIP as I have now worked on it for 2 months.  I'll give it a number later once I do inventory for 2015.
Little by little this is getting done...

Since it's a New Year - that calls for a giveaway.  Leave me a comment on how you spent New Year's Eve and/or link what you're working on.  You'll get  100 one inch paper pieces to do your own hexies in the coming months.  Good Luck!  Linky below:

God's Blessings in the Coming Quilty New Year!

  1. I had a lovely quiet evening at home with my hubby.... Hopefully this year will be a healthier and happier one for us all.

  2. A quiet evening at home watching tv with hubbie.

I will be doing some cq'ing this month. I have a stocking to do for a swap in July and a block to have done by mid May.

Other than that this is year I would like to make a dent in the quilt tops that are waiting for sandwiching and quilting as well as get more practice in dimensional embroidery, silk ribbon embroidery and tatting.

  3. Had great plans to do a little hand piecing on my POTC but ended up turning in even before the ball dropped!

    Happy New Year, everyone!

  4. Must admit I didn't see the new year in. Must be getting old. I've got quite a few UFOs that need attention, maybe I'll do one of those before I start something new & I'm slowly working on hexies for a scrappy garden.

  5. I spent part of the night working on a quilt and then started to cut out fusibles in order to work on a stitch along today. The butterfly heat n bond is cut out and today I get to pick out material that I will apply them to. It will be for a wall hanging in my office and I think I might have enough left over in order to do a matching table runner to go on the small table underneath it.

  6. For the last 5 years or so, we have rented a hotel room in Austin to spend NYE with our daughter Shelley and granddaughter Isla. This year Isla's friend Brittney came along as well. We ate at Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse....yes it cost a bundle, but is so fun. And of course we watched the fireworks (me from the room) and Mick and the gals went to 6th street, then back to the hotel to ring in the new year......we always have a great time.

    Happy New Year Angie!

  7. Ugh, inventory of WIPs! No, no, no! But thanks for the opportunity to link up, and for showing your great hexagons. I just watch the ball drop every year, that's my celebration. My neighborhood sounded like a war zone with all the happy explosions, though!

  8. Happy New Year! I spent the evening with friends doing a "First Night" celebration that Burlington Vt puts on each year. Great night with a family oriented event seeing wonderful artists perform.
Since I was the lucky one and won your last giveaway (and love them too BTW!), Please don't place my name in your hat for this one.
I just wanted to wish you a happy New Year. I'll be joining along for WIPs be gone in 2016 when I get some time to post about my intentions.

  9. We spent the evening with our family, having dinner together and then playing a card game called Dutch Blitz. It was great fun.

Thank you for stopping by. It's always nice to hear from you. I try to reply to each and every one of you, but sometimes life gets in the way. I hope you understand. Blessings.

All Comes to A Halt

Sighhhh....  While I was quilting I  ran my finger, somehow, under the needle. Went right through my left index fingernail right through to...
